Designated as a Quasi-National Park, the Kaga Coast is a 4.2km stretch of sand dunes extending from Shioya Beach to Katano Beach. It features a plant-free zone over 170m wide and serves as a habitat for small animals. Despite harsh summer conditions where surface temperatures reach 50°C, it is a rare coastline where seaside plants like beach morning glory and beach lettuce bloom around May.
