Yunokuni no Mori

A traditional crafts village set in a vast forest of about 430,000 m², featuring relocated thatched-roof farmhouses. Across 17 houses you’ll find a wide variety of crafts including Kutani ware and Kaga Yūzen. Observe production processes and enjoy over 50 hands-on activities in 11 houses, such as wheel throwing, overglaze painting, and gold-leaf application. Many works can be taken home the same day; others can be shipped later. The gift shops carry exclusive items you can only buy here. A new “Kimono House” is scheduled to open in July 2025. It’s a must-visit where you can immerse yourself in both Kaga’s culture and nature.
