Kurotani Bridge
Kurotanibashi

Located at the furthest downstream point of Kakusenkei Gorge in the scenic 'Kurotani' area—known for its deep pools, strange rocks, and waterfalls—this massive stone arch bridge is a sight to behold. Before being rebuilt as a stone bridge in 1935, it was a popular wooden bridge on the path to Natadera Temple and Komatsu. It is a historic and atmospheric spot where the poet Matsuo Basho is said to have proclaimed, 'The joy of pilgrimage lies here.'
