The residence of the Sakaya family, former Kitamae shipowners, is a Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property. With its main house, storehouse, and garden preserved as they were, visitors can imagine the golden age of the trade ships in the fully lacquered tatami room. The site also features an antique shop and a wild grass garden tea room.
