Located about 2 km south of the hot spring district within the precincts of Sugawara Shrine, this sacred tree is a designated National Natural Monument known as "Tenran no Osugi." Estimated to be 2,300 years old, with a circumference of 11m and a height of 54m, it is an impressive giant tree with lush spreading branches. Visitors can also enjoy the famous mugwort dumplings at the tea house across the street.
