A 33.3 km scenic driving course connecting the Ichirino/Chugu area in Ishikawa Prefecture with Shirakawa Village in Gifu Prefecture. Highlights include Ubagataki Falls (selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls), Fukube-no-Otaki Falls, and the Sanpoiwa Parking Lot located at the highest point. The Gifu side leads to the World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go's Gassho-zukuri Village. There are also several popular trekking courses within the White Road area.
