Handmade Soba Ishikawa

The pure-white “gozen soba” is a luxurious noodle made only from the finest first-milled buckwheat flour. Committed to freshness, the shop closes once noodles run out for the day. At the entrance, chirimen crafts and Yamanaka lacquerware are on display, making the wait enjoyable. The signature tempura zaru soba features crisp, to-order tempura with seasonal vegetables sourced from local farmers and delicacies foraged by the owner. The gentle sweetness of soba and savory tempura pair beautifully and are especially popular with women. Complimentary soba tea, soba porridge, and soba karintō snacks add a warm touch of hospitality.
