This site preserves in situ the excavated remains of the Yoshidaya Kiln (a nationally designated historic site), established in the late Edo period by local merchant Toyota Den’emon to revive the vivid overglaze enamel porcelain in the style of early Edo “Ko-Kutani.” Visitors can also enjoy special exhibitions and hands-on experiences such as overglaze painting and kick-wheel throwing.
