Yamashiro Onsen Ko-Sōyu
やましろおんせん こそうゆ

Of Yamashiro Onsen’s two public bathhouses, “Ko-Sōyu” is a reconstruction of the Meiji-era Sōyu, offering a museum-like, hands-on experience of historical bathing culture. There is no washing area inside the bath, reflecting the period style. A relaxation space is available on the 2nd floor. The surrounding district, historically called “Yuno-gawa,” still preserves old inns and shops—perfect for a stroll before or after your bath.
